Shoku, Arcane Blacksmith

Biography

Shoku was born in the village of Shijika, a small farming village on the edge of the wild lands of the south plains. As a child he was always kept aside from others, due to the fact he was born as a mute, his inability to speak caused the other children to avoid him or treat him strange. This was not a problem for Shoku, he had his older sisters and his mother to keep him company, and his father from time to time but due to his father being one of the lands Guardians, he was rarely around (Not by his choice). After Shoku turned ten, the village was attacked by a evil dragon that came up from the Wild lands for unknown reasons, though it was a young dragon, it caused alot of damaged and ended up killing most of the villagers, including Shoku's mother and two of his three sisters and leaving him scared physically. The surviving sister, though the only common blood he had with his sisters was they're mother, took him to a village closer to the outpost of his fathers order where she told him what had happened. After this, she ended up joining the order, and was later killed in combat against band of demons.

After the death of his older sister, at twelve, he made his way into the woods, his intent to die alone, was found by a group of traveling merchants from the holy city, who had watched him collapse after a few days of walking. After he finally came to, he was laying in the back of the cart, at the front of the city gates. The group that had found him was a mixed bunch of races, Most Elves and Mirithan, but they also had a dwarven smith (Though she was extremely rude, and made a lot of lewd jokes). After they got into the city, he had blacked out again and woke next in the merchants quarter, when they had been selling things and a mature female Mirithan Hare spotted him and started fighting her way to him, through the crowd, and kicking the dwarf in the head (Which the leader of the group, an elf, gave her a pouch of gold as thanks for shutting her up.) and jumped into the cart with Shoku. This female had turned out to be his Aunt, which he had only met once in his life when he was three, so he wasn't fully able to recall her, though she knew who he was with enough of a firm conviction he couldn't help but take her word for it. She then took him, with the help of her husband and oldest son, to her home, which was beside an old abandoned Smithy, which was owned by her family, but she lacked the strength to use the smiting hammer left behind by her father. This is where he would recover, and live for many years, even after his aunt and her family moved on, his uncle and cousin having died in a conflict later on.

At the age of Twenty, he started his training in the art of being a smith, having some adept control of magic from his fathers bloodline, which he had no idea, he picked up smiting rather fast and his Aunt ended up giving him the scroll she had planed on giving her son, but saw he was like his father, who was a Warrior caste hare, and decided Shoku should carry on the family trade. After he had learned his trade, by the age of twenty five, his aunt took him to a special chamber below, and had him try and lift the hammer, which itself was heavily enchanted and was supposed to of been a myth, but its ability to be used was tied to a special magic in they're blood. The chamber below was made to also awaken, even if painful, the hidden magics in the blood, so after he was able to take the hammer off the alter, the seals broke on the chamber and he ended up, as his mothers kin before him that where able to claim the hammer, the collective arts of his ancestors was given to him, each showing him the arts they used to craft magical weapons of old, as well as the formula's needed to remake them, or improve older ones.

After the events of the chamber, his eyes gained a glow, a mark of his arcane talents, soon got the eye of the troops that came to see who the new smith was, and soon Shoku was working every day, crafting new weapons and armor. One such day, a merchant, a daughter of one of the Mouse-Kin merchants that found him in the woods, came to give him a gift, something his aunt sent back from her travels. The item was a pouch of a strange dust like substance, but he could feel it was imbued with magic. By mistake, while he was wearing the pouch, he found out it had been enchanted to float in the air, illuminated, in the shape of the words he desired to say. This dust, which was nothing that special itself, other then its enchantment, allowed him to speak, in a way, for the first time in his life, though even to this day he still prefers to just point, but if it is important enough to waste his magic saying, he will tell whats on his mind, or show what is on his mind really.

(Still growing, the rest of his history is just days of smithing, his failed attempt to join his fathers guild. I intend to write more, but only as I use him in rp so bare with me and I will expand as I go)

*Mirithan= The Mirithen are a mix of diffrent kinds of anthros, this race is custom, and honestly is not much diffrent then normal anthros, but they have some traits that are.

*-Kin: The diffrent branches of the Mirithan people are often called Kin, due to the fact they all share the blood of some kinda of animal, so each type will call themselves either a Mirithan (Animal) or (Animal)-Kin, By no means is this meant to be a negitive term, and they will never treat it as such.

*Bonded/Unbound- This is, in simple terms, is more or less the way Mirithan become a mated (married) couple. It Being bound is normally seen as a unbreakable thing, as such there have been no couples they have separated after becoming bonded. Mirithan Culture is also open to more then one Bonding, as long as all parties are okay with it.

*Worldstone/Keystone= These stones are magically imbued items that allow the use of specialized gates/doorways that allow one to move from a set location to another connecting gate/doorway. The Worldstone is much harder to find and is able to access any of the Nexus gates across the universe while the keystones are limited to the planet upon which they are created. A Nexus gate may be used with a Keystone, but it will only take to someone to a location on that world. The only known Worldstones on the planet are all hidden by the gods save the three held in the Mirithan holy mountain.
